Illinois High School Diploma Preparation
An Illinois high school diploma, formerly known as a high school equivalency or HSE certificate is a recognized State of Illinois High School Diploma that can be obtained through alternative credentialing. ROE #33 Adult Education programs assist learners in the preparation of GED® and HiSET testing.
ROE #33 is an approved testing site for GED and Hi-Set testing, but all testing is scheduled through Pearson VUE.
Students who register for Adult Education classes have an 84% success rate of passing the exam.

Curriculum
i-Pathways/Essential Education
A program designed to offer online and offline learning options for individuals 17 and older seeking their State of Illinois high school diploma. This program is offered to Adult Education students.
Study areas include Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Writing, and Consumer Education.
ABE-Adult Basic Education
A Pre-Literacy course is an instructional-based format for beginning-level students with a 0-4th grade reading level which helps increase the basics of reading, writing, speaking, and math skills to help move into the next level of ABE.
With an approved curriculum and courses through ICCB, this program assists clients from grade 4 through eighth grade competency level as determined by standardized assessment. These students have instructional learning with supportive computer-based programs to enhance their basic learning skills while developing into Adult Secondary Education.
ASE-Adult Secondary Education
ASE-approved classes aid a student who has leveled up to a 9th-12th grade competency level which will result in obtaining a State of Illinois High School Diploma or high school equivalency certificate and prepare them for the workforce, training, and post-secondary education through College and Career Readiness Standards.
With an approved curriculum and courses through ICCB, this program assists clients from a 9th to 12th-grade competency level as determined by standardized assessment. These students have modeled learning with supportive computer-based programs to enhance their ASE learning skills while developing to secure employment opportunities or enroll in post-secondary education courses or certificates.

Constitution Tests
To earn an Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate, you must take and pass the Constitution test as required by Illinois Compiled Statutes - School Code (105 ILCS 5/27-3) in addition to passing a GED or Hi-Set test.

GED or Hi-Set Transcripts and Certificates
To request your Illinois High School Diploma or Official GED or Hi-Set Transcript, you must contact the ROE #33 once you have completed your GED or Hi-Set testing. The fee to obtain a certificate is $10, and there is an additional $10 for an official transcript. Please do not send cash in the mail.
